going-places-logoThe autumn of 2002 saw MyTravel UK's retail division embark on an ambitious project to revolutionise the face of travel retail by designing new concept stores for its 720-strong chain of Going Places and Travelworld stores.

The initial programme was to refresh 200 stores and Rockingham was asked to develop a range of going-placesdesks and counters, from original designs by UNICK Architects, and then to manufacture and deliver them to over 100 stores through the UK.

Working in conjunction with the main contractors, the project was successfully completed in a little over eight weeks. The design of the unitry was vibrant and fresh but functional and they were produced using a wide variety of materials and finishes.
